Career Highlights
•  Development of commercial products include parenteral product for veterinary medecine sold worldwide (spray chilling), nutritional supplement sold in U.S., Europe, and Australia (spray dried) using patented bioavailability enhancement technology, controlled release generic pharmaceutical using unique fluid bed and other process technology (completed BE studies and being scaled up), two spray dried pharmaceutical products for bioavailability enhancement advanced through clinicals, a spray dried cosmetic ingredient, controlled release products for dogs using buccal delivery techniques, and development and commercialization of widely used pharmaceutical excipient made by spray drying.
•  Design of commercial spray drying equipment for solvent applications and micro-scale applications.
•  Development of new taste masking technologies for human and animal use.

Several invited lectures at meetings of the AAPS and the Controlled Release Society within the last five years included weekend workshops at the 2008 CRS meeting on Oral Delivery Formulation for Challenging Patient Groups, the 2009 CRS Meeting Microencapsulation Workshop on spray drying and an invited presentation at the 2009 AAPS National Meeting on Controlled Release Lipid Formulations. Other presentations include posters and papers given at meetings of the American Chemical Society and meetings and workshops of the Controlled Release Society and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. An invited lecture series on fluid bed coating was given in Singapore and the keynote address at a spray drying conference in Melbourne, Australia. Other recent invited lectures included the topics of scale-up studies, taste-masking, nanotechnology as applied to bioavailability enhancement.
